This cheerful and adventurous couple from Australia chose to exchange their vows on the stunning island of Santorini, known for its breathtaking views and charm. They didn’t want a grand ceremony – just the two of them and a few close friends to witness their love. It was a deeply intimate and romantic elopement at Le Ciel wedding venue in Santorini, without a doubt!
After the ceremony, we captured some portraits of the newlyweds around the whitewashed streets of Imerovigli which is near Le Ciel and it’s the perfect area for minimal pictures without people in the background , with the iconic blue domes and narrow paths creating a timeless backdrop. Matt, who’s a photographer, wanted to make their day even more special, so they rented a classic vintage car, a charming little convertible. We had so much fun photographing them as they drove through the sun-drenched streets, with tourists stopping to cheer them on.

After a relaxed break to enjoy a delicious meal at Le Ciel, we headed to the second part of their celebration – a breathtaking photoshoot along the island’s cliffside volcano sea view, with the famous Santorini sunset as a backdrop. The vibrant colors of the sky and the calm Aegean Sea created the perfect setting for Clara and Matt’s love story to continue.
There, they exchanged vows once more, toasted with a glass of local wine, and read the heartfelt messages from their loved ones. As the sun set behind the caldera, the golden light bathed them in warmth, making this moment even more unforgettable. Clara and Matt will cherish this day for the rest of their lives.
